Whether you go bold and bright or cool and gritty, your look should stay consistent across different media. Which is where color models come in!
Think of them as number sets that represent the correct ratios of color and light. For example, a print ad and a digital banner ad would be perceived differently by your eyes (because of science reasons). With color models, you can translate the shade so that it looks the same in different placements.
Some of the most common color models are CMYK (made from cyan, magenta, yellow, and black ink for print), RGB (made from red, green, and blue light for digital needs), HEX (same as RBG but specific to coding), and Pantone Matching System (a widely used source for aligning color choices across formats).
