Lexington, KY, June 17th, 2013 – The 2013 Fast Casual Top 100 Movers & Shakers awards were held in late May, and the brand standing on top at the end of the night was Fazoli’s, the Italian restaurant concept based in Lexington, Kentucky. Rated on the criteria of innovation, growth, social responsibility, and overall contribution to the Fast Casual category, Fazoli’s was awarded Fast Casual Brand of the Year. FastCasual.com and Networld Media Group partnered together to determine the top 100 brands.
Cathy Hull, Fazoli’s Chief Marketing Officer, is thrilled that Fazoli’s was recognized as the best Fast Casual brand. “The Fazoli’s team, at both our corporate office and in our restaurants, as well as our vendor partners, work very hard to offer guests the best experience possible,” said Hull. “We’re always looking at ways to stay fresh from our menu offerings, to our unique social media ideas, to our local charitable events—like our Breadsticks for Hunger Tour. Challenging the norm has also been a focus for Fazoli’s brand agency, Brokaw Inc. The agency has partnered with the Fazoli’s marketing team for the past four years, brainstorming ideas ranging from a social media campaign that rewarded Facebook fans who reported finding giant, six-foot-tall forks placed around metro markets, to encouraging couples to get engaged at Fazoli’s on Valentine’s Day to receive free spaghetti for a year.
