Nevermind the correct pronunciation, the GIF has made the ultimate comeback. I’m not talking about LOLZ or MEME GIFs, but the animated GIF.

Illustrators, designers and animators alike have taken up this short form of storytelling with a force. Thanks to outlets such as Tumblr, and people with short attention spans (pretty much everyone with a smart phone), the animated GIF is becoming the go-to form of cyberspace entertainment, communication, and even news!

Usage of animated GIFs increase engagement dramatically. So brands, take notice.
