Enough with the same old same old.
Find your voice.
In today’s crowded marketplace, the tangible differences between products and services are rapidly decreasing. So in reality—although most corporations will never admit this—the only thing that might separate you from the competition is your unique brand voice, and your ability to use it to forge an emotional, memorable connection with your audience.
Companies like Dos Equis, vitaminwater, KAYAK, and Apple understand this. They know the power of personality when trying to change or reinforce consumer behavior. Something that doesn’t always make quantifiable sense to left brain marketers.
After all, according to rational techie geeks, the iPhone is not the best smartphone on the market. Similarly, beer connoisseurs will tell you Pabst Blue Ribbon is not the best tasting beer in America. (Shocking, we know.) Then, why in the world are all those hipsters at the bar texting on their iPhones, while drinking 24 oz. PBR cans? (Hint.)
So, what are you waiting for? Find your unique voice, and then share it with the world. It’s time to be heard, Ben Konop. (Never mind that boo bird, lil’ buddy—you’re doing great.)
Find your buzz?
Just in case you needed a rational reason to have a drink tonight. (Learn why being sleepy and drunk are great for creativity.)
Have a great weekend finding your voice and your buzz, everybody. (Not necessarily in that order.)
