Brokaw Hires Seven More.

CLEVELAND, April 29, 2011—Brokaw Inc.—the small global Cleveland agency famous for helping a handful of premier brands rise above the blah blah — has hired seven new employees after recently being named agency of record for FirstMerit Bank and University Hospitals, as well as picking up digital, strategic, and creative projects from vitaminwater, Trek Bikes, Vitamix, GrafTech, and Lubrizol.

Kati Davis was named Brokaw’s new senior research and brand strategist. Prior to Brokaw, Kati spent the past nine years working at Marcus Thomas on consumer and business-to-business brands like Key Bank, Nestle, American Greetings, and Step2. At Brokaw, Kati will be responsible for leading all research and brand strategy for Brokaw clients such as Fazoli’s, FirstMerit, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, and The Cleveland Museum of Art.

Dawn Pyne has left American Greetings to become Brokaw’s new senior account executive. Dawn has over 15 years experience as an award-winning strategic planner and creative manager with retail partners such as American Greetings, CVS, Wal-Mart, and Target. At Brokaw, Dawn will be the lead account executive on University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital.

Erin Srsen has decided to join Brokaw after serving as Key Bank’s brand manager for the past five years. Erin will be working as a senior account manager on the FirstMerit and Fazoli’s accounts.

Sara Smith was recently hired as Brokaw’s new in-house producer and project manager. Prior to Brokaw, Sara was working in L.A. as a producer for the E! Network’s The Soup and The Dish.

Jayme Gilson has been named Brokaw’s new senior account executive. Jayme comes to Brokaw from Columbus, where she spent the past four years working at the healthcare advertising agency GSW Worldwide.

Joe McLaughlin, a recent Cleveland State University graduate, worked as an intern at Brokaw before being brought on full-time as an account coordinator to help out on Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, the Cleveland Zoological Society, and RTA accounts.

Carrie Hogg was named Brokaw’s new media planner/buyer. Carrie is responsible for helping plan and place traditional media nationally, regionally, and locally for FirstMerit Bank and University Hospitals. Prior to Brokaw, Carrie has worked at Key Bank, Zig Marketing, the Arras Group, and Malone Advertising.
